Taxis Will Have to Use Yellow Stickers. All Taxi Cars Must Have Them by the End of the Year 2020

The amendment to the Road Transport Act introduces new registration stickers for taxi vehicles. All taxi cars will be required to have them for inspection and for passenger information.

These are stickers that will be used to mark all registered taxi vehicles. Operating a taxi service with an unregistered vehicle without a sticker will be prohibited under hefty fines.

The appearance of the stickers is set by the implementing decree to the Road Transport Act. The round label is very similar to German emission plaques.

According to a spokesman from the Ministry of Transport, drivers can apply for a sticker as early as 1st July 2020. The Act also contains a temporary provision that a vehicle without a sticker can be used to operate a taxi service, but no longer than six months from the date of entry into force of this Act, i.e. by the end of 2020 at the latest, says the spokesman.
