Regulations for Taxi Ranks

1) drivers must respect the fact that customers are free to select the vehicle they would like to carry them, irrespective of which order the vehicles are queued at the taxi rank;

2) the taxi rank may be used only by vehicles which are duly marked and equipped in accordance with regulations in force, including a price list of services, which are in a technical condition complying with legal regulations, and which are in a presentable state, with consideration for current weather conditions;

3) the attire and behaviour of taxi drivers must be appropriate, with consideration for the importance of this service;

4) the taxi rank may be used to offer taxi services solely by persons authorized to operate a taxi service; taxi drivers must keep documents in their vehicle which prove the fulfilment of requirements laid down by legislation and these Regulations;

5) taxi drivers must display maximum considerateness to disabled persons;

6) taxi drivers may offer services at the taxi rank solely with vehicles which are enclosed, which seat at least four occupants, which have at least three doors providing access to the seats of the passengers and the driver, and which have space specifically designed for luggage;

7) when customers who have luggage enter and leave the vehicle, the taxi driver must help them load and unload their luggage;

8) taxi drivers must keep a book-format plan of Prague streets, with up-to-date street names, in the taxi which, on request, can be lent to passengers;

9) taxi drivers at the taxi rank must not leave their vehicles and must be ready at all times to provide services, except when they are required to carry out activities connected with the provision of taxi services, i.e. assistance in carrying luggage, should the customer so request
