According to the Municipal Council controls, Uber is the most problematic: Almost each fourth journey is overpriced!

Three months after issuing the decree, Uber drivers had significantly worse results than regular taxi drivers. Out of 92 Uber drivers who had been controlled, 21 of them happened to set unreasonably high prices and the controllers seized 14 licenses. These are statistics from the beginning of January 2018. Taxi drivers happened to have, on the other hand, a very good outcome: out of 292 controls, there were only two overpriced services revealed. Those represent less than one percent. Due to the shortcomings of their cars, three of them were prohibited from driving.

Prague has been contending with fare overpricing problems, fake taxi drivers and rule-breaking when providing taxi services via apps such as Uber, on a long-term basis.
